2022 Clio Cannabis Award Winner | 010.20.2022

Twenty2b took home the 2022 Clio Cannabis Award for Experiential Design, for its AR Booth designed for TOQi Technolgies.  TOQi was invited to partake in the experiential outdoor activation area of the prestigious Hall of Flowers cannabis tradeshow in Santa Rosa, 2021.  Working with its parent company Twenty2b in collaboration with 3D Artist/Designer William Selviz, the goal was to showcase the new TOQi 510 Wireless Vaporizer in white, alongside the newly founded TOQi Fellow For Cannabis Amnesty.  We wanted to create one booth design, that was an outdoor gallery of images, that transformed into a digital space that co-existed alongside the analog version.  The result, was the AR Dab Gallery.

Our Founder is giving a talk on his design career at FITC in Toronto this year!  See below for more details:

In this presentation, Drew will discuss how the evolution of design –in 5 stages– transformed his creative journey as he progressed from a design & engineering student to a startup CEO.

After graduating in engineering, Drew began working in motorsports, learning how to problem solve in high pressure situations. He learned how to create highly technical systems and execute precision engineering, but the ability to package that system into a tangible product was missing. After graduating in engineering, Drew began working in motorsports, learning how to problem solve in high pressure situations. He learned how to create highly technical systems and execute precision engineering, but the ability to package that system into a tangible product was missing. His left brain missed his right so he went back to school to Milan, Italy to become a designer.

Shortly after design school, Drew found his passions shift toward the nascent action camera market as it captured his two goals of form and function. He moved to London where he started designing action cameras for Drift Innovation and Foream Technologies. While at Drift, Drew’s design caught the attention of NASA, who wanted to mount the cameras on a space station. Drew spent 6 months on this challenge. Witnessing the evolution of the action camera market from niche to mainstream inspired his next move, returning to Canada to launch his product design studio, Twenty2b, and create Seam Technic as its first technology startup.

Drew will present his designs and discuss what challenges he was facing during his design process at each stage, and how his timely creations kept elevating him from one plateau to the next

Tribute Case Series: London | 12.21.2016

There are places in the world we love, and then there is home. Shoreditch, East London, was a place that changed many things for us. Even though Toronto is now home, London will always and forever also be in our hearts. From late nights scheming by roof top pools, raving all night to smashing bagels and djing on Brick Lane. Many of our first designs were done while living there, learning how to put electron to atom. For the undeniable creative force it has been, and will be, our next tribute case is for the iPhone 6/6S Plus, to celebrate London, UK.
